Banking Certificate

Entry requirements for Banking Certificate programme is explained hereunder:

To be eligible to enter the Banking Certificate level I, a candidate must be a member of The Tanzania Institute of Bankers.
In addition, the candidate must possess the following approved ratings:
Must either be a bank employee with Certificate of Secondary Education (CSE) or Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education (ACSE) or its equivalent.
OR
Must be a Form IV leaver with at least a pass in English and Mathematics.
OR
Must be a Form VI leaver with at least one principal level pass in Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education (ACSE) or its equivalent and must have passed English or Mathematics language at CSE level.
OR
Holder of Certificate from National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA) or certificate from National Board of Materials Management (NBMM).
OR
Other equivalent qualifications.
To be eligible to enter the Banking Certificate level II, a candidate must be a member of The Tanzania Institute of Bankers

In addition, the candidate must possess the following approved ratings:
  • Holder of Banking Certificate level I from The Tanzania Institute of bankers (TIOB).
  • Holder Advanced Diploma/Degree not related to business studies from a recognized institute of higher learning or university.
 
Registration and Annual Subscription Fees

Ordinary Members - (Staff of Banks)
  • Application Fee (Join Member) -  TZS 10,000/=
  • Registration Fee                          -  TZS 30,000/=
  • Annual Subscription Fee          -  TZS 30,000/=

Student Members ( Non-Bank Staff)
  • Application Fee (Join Member) -  TZS 10,000/=
  • Registration Fee                          -  TZS 40,000/=
  • Annual Subscription Fee          -  TZS 40,000/=


Examination Fee per Subject
  • Ordinary Members (TZS) - 40,000/=
  • Student Members (TZS)    - 60,000/=
